YumEarth, a pioneer in allergen-free, organic, and vegan candy, had cultivated a dedicated following among health-conscious families. Despite their strong market presence, their online experience didn’t reflect their leadership in the organic candy space. Their reliance on a third-party supplier (World Pantry) for eCommerce significantly limited their growth potential, and their vibrant brand identity was lost in a crowded marketplace filled with competitors employing similar, muted branding.

Recognizing the urgent need for a scalable, direct-to-consumer platform, YumEarth partnered with Electric Enjin with an ambitious objective: migrate to Shopify and create a digital experience as unique and enjoyable as their products. The project aimed to balance scalability, customer education, and engaging branding to captivate and convert more customers.

approach

Robust Shopify Website Development

To break away from third-party constraints, we migrated YumEarth's entire eCommerce platform to Shopify, building a robust, custom-designed site capable of scaling seamlessly as their brand grew. The new Shopify store offered an intuitive user experience, streamlined checkout, improved product discoverability, and integrated educational content about the health benefits of YumEarth's allergen-free treats.

Integrated B2B Wholesale Portal

To accommodate YumEarth’s wholesale partners, we developed a dedicated B2B portal that enabled bulk orders seamlessly through Shopify. The portal featured a straightforward registration system and a customized approval workflow to verify and onboard suppliers efficiently. This ensured that only authorized wholesalers could access exclusive products, pricing tiers, and bulk purchasing options, enhancing YumEarth’s wholesale management efficiency.

Rebranding candy for the modern age

Recognizing that the organic market was dominated by muted tones and conventional aesthetics, we redefined YumEarth’s visual identity to stand out boldly:

  • Fresh Color Palette: We introduced vibrant, energetic colors such as teal, purple, and pink, reflecting the playful, joyful nature of the brand.
  • Engaging Tagline: “Friendly sweets, yummy treats” communicated YumEarth’s commitment to allergen-free, enjoyable candy, appealing directly to their core family demographic.
  • Dynamic Visual Guidelines: We crafted comprehensive brand guidelines that balanced playful energy with trustworthiness, ensuring consistency across all customer touchpoints.
  • Impactful Photography: New product photography highlighted the candies’ appealing textures, vibrant colors, and attractive packaging, significantly enhancing online engagement and conversion.

Through these combined efforts, YumEarth transformed from a constrained, third-party reliant eCommerce presence into a robust, scalable direct-to-consumer and wholesale platform, fully embodying their brand promise of delicious, allergen-friendly fun.
